After the birth of her 6th son, AJ suddenly struggled with an unexplained weight gain and an inability to lose that excess 76 pounds. She tried every diet and exercise plan imaginable, all to no avail.
Through it all, she became educated in all things related to weight loss and living a healthy lifestyle. It took her nearly 6 years to lose the baby weight. Middle age set in, and the hormone dwarfs took control of her body. She gained back 40 pounds. Luckily, she was able to lose it once again, simply by working with her doctor to balance her hormones.
Post-child bearing years: keeping the weight off has been a struggle. She realized that she had to stop the dieting, dump the scale and start eating for health.
AJ is a part-time professor at her local college and frequently encourages her students not to become discouraged when embarking upon a weight loss journey. Each body is unique; What works for one person, may not have any effect at all on the next person.
When she is not teaching or cooking, AJ can be found tucked away in a quiet corner, doing the very thing that fills her soul … reading.

I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition*, where I studied a variety of dietary theories and practical lifestyle coaching methods. Additionally, I have been certified through IIN as a Hormone Health Coach. With my knowledge, we co-create completely personalized actions based on your goals to move you toward your ideal vision of health within your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and resources.
