Sometimes we act like life is happening to us instead of remembering we’re the one holding the pen.
We get caught in the current scene — the stress, the uncertainty, the money drama, the relationship wobble, the plot twist nobody asked for — and we start treating that moment like it’s the ending.
But babe, it’s not the ending.
It’s just the scene.
That is such an important Law of Attraction reminder, because the energy you bring to the scene affects what comes next. If you keep focusing on what’s going wrong, rehearsing worst-case scenarios, and narrating the hard part like it’s the whole story, you start aligning with more of that same energy.
This is where acting as if can help. Acting as if doesn’t mean pretending everything is perfect while your nervous system is doing cartwheels. It means asking: How would I think, speak, or move if I trusted this was still unfolding in my favor? That question alone can change a lot.
Scripting is another beautiful method here. Write the ending you want as if it’s already coming together. Let yourself put on paper the version of the story where things work out, support arrives, healing happens, and the plot turns in your favor.
And if a rough moment has really gotten under your skin, try revision. That means mentally rewriting the scene instead of replaying it like evidence that everything is doomed. You don’t have to keep worshipping one bad conversation, one setback, or one weird Tuesday.
You can also practice better-feeling thoughts when big affirmations feel a little too sparkly for the mood. Instead of “Everything is amazing,” try:
This is not the ending.
Things can still work out for me.
I don’t have to decide the worst right now.
That’s how you work with the energy.
Your life may have dramatic scenes. Of course it will. Every good movie does. But that doesn’t mean the ending is bad.
So when life gets messy, ask yourself: How does my movie end?
Then choose your thoughts, your focus, and your methods from that place.
Because you are not here to wait and see what happens.
You are here to decide.
